Toyota GR Supra Performance Line Concept TRD
2020 Toyota Supra A90 coupe its official debuted at the Detroit Auto Show. Toyota Supra shares same platform with the new BMW Z4 The Supra will be the result of a BMW Toyota collaboration. And now, Toyota’s racing division Toyota Racing Development debuts the GR Supra Performance Line Concept TRD. Toyota Racing Development branded concept of the new Supra at the Osaka Automesse held in the Kansai region in Japan.
Officially called the GR Supra Performance Line, TRD’s Supra custom products are not confirmed yet, it’s only a concept for now. However, this concept does not have any power upgrades. The TRD concept makes the car look even more agressive and provides a clear preview for future upgrades. After these parts Supra will be more different enough from the original one.
2020 Toyota Supra 3.0 liter twin scroll turbocharged inline six cylinder engine 335 hp 340 ps and 368lb ft 500 nm of torque, an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, curb weight comes in at 1,520 kg 3,397 pounds, eight speed paddle shift automatic only and 0-60 mph 100km/h is just only in 4.3 seconds.
GR Supra Performance Line TRD kit designed with carbon fiber composite materials. Aerodynamic upgrade improve performance and handling such as front winglets with big fins that assist in increasing downforce. Carbon fiber side skirts works to lower the center of gravity and helps side airflow and carbon fiber door garnish is functional, designed to help turbulence and improve airflow. The new carbon fiber trunk spoiler and lower spats for added aero dynamic and aesthetic upgrades. TRD kit comes with a set of light 19 inch forged aluminum wheels with mesh spoke design. Suspension and brake enhancements weren’t included in the concept yet but TRD Japan’s page says “To Be Continued” which means more improvement tuning upgrades for the Supra TRD.
